Q: I uploaded the files to my server, but it's not working. Help!!A: You need to seed the install with at least one image file in /photos/ to start. Also create a thumbs/ directory and CHMOD it to 755. If this doesn't fix the problem, please try looking through the discussion board or post your question to the community.
(Ive noticed some people stating that a CHMOD setting of 777 is desireable. But in fact some server systems do not allow this level unless you specifically ask for it. Even when you set the CHMOD to 777 and even when you see it, sometiems the server admin have not enabled all rights for it. Be careful as this can be confusing and irritating.)
Q. How do I post in FB3?
A: Go to fb.php/post/ to upload new photos OR update the caption for a selected photo.
Q: How do I change the look and feel of folderblog?
A: The easiest way is to install one of the AlternateTemplates. Or, you can edit the template files to your hearts content - just be careful not to break anything!
Q: What tags are available for use on new Templates?
A: See the Changes page.
Q: Can I use Templates from Folderblog 2.x on Folderblog 3.x?
A: Yes, but you need to change some of the tags and remove some of the old forms that are no longer needed. Depending on how complicated your templates have become, it might make more sense to start from scratch. Check out the Upgrading from FB2.x page for more tips/tricks.
Q: I have it up and running but I don't seem to have RSS working. Any ideas?
A: The RSS feed in folderblog 3 (default file is rss.xml) will be generated after using the "/post" form to update folderblog. After the first time, you should see your feed start working.
Q: Where can I find the requirements for Folderblog?
