To wait or not?(back to index)I've been waiting for Folderblog to turn 3.0 stable to start up a new photoblog. Is it anywhere close or should I install the latest beta? Is updating beta versions every now and then a safe & trouble free option?

I just added the latest beta to my site, and I have not encountered any problems. Seems pretty easy to update as well, when new versions come out.

Mikael, it's safe to update now. The final release will come in mid-August, but there should be no major updates before the final release (just minor bug fixes, et cetera).

Thanks for the replies. What is the update procedure like? Just replacing a couple of .php-files?

Mikael, you'll need to update several PHP files, as well as do some major reworking of your template (unless you just want to use the FB3 default, or one of the alternate FB3 templates
available in the wiki.

If you want an enhanced and cleaner version, look into the posting of folderblog ikue release 1.0.
The problem is that Donald Tetto seems to have simply disappeared, and nobody knows whats going on...

Ah, great to see that development is rolling. But, when going to your site I get:

My site is exactly in these minutes under development, because I currently integrate a new function into my source code. The source code that I give for download is the version before. Somewhere I have to debug, he? ;)
