I'm lost!(back to index)
Ok, so I stumbled across folderblog and it appeared to be the answer to the problems that I was facing when trying to get a simple photoblog up and running...

I just downloaded the latest release and in the .zip there was no readme.txt file. The Wiki installation topics are mostly outdated with the Beta 3 release so here I sit without any good instructions on how to use/install this beast. Does anyone have the readme.txt file that I could get a copy of? Even if it is old, i may be able to decipher at least a little bit on info that could help me. I have a half-installed folderblog and I am anxious to get it up and running...

Thanks!

Michael if you just want the blog up and running for now, simply copy the folderblog-dir onto your webspace and modify some settings (password, email) in th fb_vars.php:

http://folderblog.tetto.org/wiki/index.php/InstallingFolderblog/

Then copy some image into the subdirectory "photos" and your fresh new photoblog should be working.

You could then build your own template oder modify existing ones, but for that you must know at least some basic php, xhtml and/or css instructions (which are not part of a folderblog documentation).

I am figuring it out bit by bit

I guess I just expected that readme.txt file that I am missing and that the .php file alluded to...

Thanks!

Ok, so I have another question now.

I would appreciate some help from you coding wizards with a problem that I am running into. If you look at this link you will see my logo at the top: http://photoblog.michaelsarver.com/index.php.

My problem occurs when I try to click on other pictures whose permanent links are based off the the index.php file (i.e. index.php/image/a%20beach%20kiss/). My logo doesn't want to load at the top of any of my individual photo's pages outside of the plain index.php. Take a look at http://photoblog.michaelsarver.com/index.php/image/a%20beach%20kiss/ to see what I mean. Is there any way around this? I figured you guys know folderblog the best...

Thanks

Michael, glad you got everything working. Putting together a decent install file is near the top of my to-do list, but sorry that there's none posted yet.
