Hows about first and last (newest) links along with the next and previous links. The ability to maybe remove the thumbnail strip would be cool. Maybe even having a dropdown field that works as a sort of archive, listing all of the uploaded pictures in chronological order. The first and third features would turn the folderblog into a full blown webcomic script. You know how hard those are to find?
