to display thumbnails? you mean display the "big view images" right? makes no sense fot the thumbs imho...
a description on how to use the lightbox.js is written on the source-page...
if you want to use it for the big image just adjust the path to the image (according to your directory-presets).
i guess the URL is all you would need for this.
rememeber: a js script like that isnt the same as a real html-document, so you would loose comments, etc. make yourself an exact plan what you want (where you want comments to show up, etc.) then som1 can help
