i wonder how i can show and archive my thumbs in same sizes as square, so it shows just a detail of the original pic. is there scripting necessary???
thanks to you and the folderbloggers!

...never mind, i've read through the comments and came across the 'resize-thumbs-in-photoshop-and-upload-manually-solution; not the nicest alternative, since i like that folderblog is able to create thumbs.
so is there is a script - i am yearning for it... ;-)

@armin:
all you want are square thumbnails that are generated automatically?
look at my site, i rewrote post.php, that square thumbnails are generated. leave a comment if you want it.

nick, all i can find out is that your thumbs are 100x100px; how do you generate them?

nick,
i would be indeed be interested! just had a misunderstanding and thought i'd find it somewhere in your source-code...
would appreciate it too, to get it.
eric,
under construction, but online. it will change a lot more, until i have found the best and efficiant solution with the templates. i would like to work rather with css than with tables. will see what version 3.0 has to offer. and the moment i am just learning by doing (link is under my name>>>)

@nick,
thanks, the file works! the testpics lost their proportions when updating the thumbs with the new 'post.php' - but when a new pic is uploaded and i create a thumb everything looks fine...!

and now the questioning continues: is there a way to show a different 'alt-text' other than the date (when pics and thumbs are loading), or when you hover the thumbs, that you get some 'title' info??
