er.. Me. I'm currently in the process of getting paid for an image used without permission. I could sue and in Ireland the law is firmly on my side. However I'd prefer more work from the company and it was actually the designer that used the image without knowing it wasn't licensed (where other images had been).

But Erik, where is the problem? Folderblog is just listed on a freeware-site and i think it is - in any case - freeware in the meaning of "you don't need to pay for it". I think thats quite okay.

Personally, I don't think Donald would mind if you guys changed a few lines of code to make the program better.

I can't think of anyone who would get angry if someone else made their program better for free. And if he does get angry it would be his loss and not yours because it's not like he's going to sue.

In the meantime there is always the old version up, you guys are not destroying anything that's already made, you're only going to add to a free web application that nobody is making money off of anyways, so honestly, in my opinion, go for it.

Just writing a new theme for wordpress, but when this is done, I'm going to modify my version of FB further and going to upload it. Maybe it isn't a "folderblog 3+" then but it could be useful for others.

thats the point, you, me and others been aware of. and in the link posted above its redistributed. so it's not just listed. its on their server declared as freeware. no donald t. no cc-license. no nothing. thats exactly what i understand as redistribution. btw: i hope not to see your template before mine is finished. thx for the link on wp.de :)

No, no... its not on their server. Did you clicked the download-link? It just points to this site: folderblog.org

Anyway, as soon as I get my hands back on folderblog, I will put "my" version on my server so anyone can download it.

And to the theme... I'm working hard on this one, but its quite a lot work to do. ;-)
