Hey guys, what's the difference between categories and archives exactly?

I'm asking because when I use "<#fbarchives#>", fb brings me to the archives and the category name does not show up for the pictures being displayed even though "<#fbcat#>" is included on the page.

Is there a tag similar to "<#fbarchives#>" that would display a link that can bring me to see all the thumbnails from the current category instead of thumbnails from the archive?

Technically, I'm looking for the same functionality as "<#fbcats#>", but displaying a link for the current category instead of displaying links for all the categories at once.

Any ideas? Thanks guys!

To be clearer, I basically never want to actually use the archive, I'd rather people browse through each category individually than see all the picture at once.

As far as I know, so far this function doesnt exist. What doesnt mean that it is not possible to program it. ;)
