- exif data doesn't show up
- categories don't work

anyone, any suggestions?
thanks

okay now comments seem to work but exif data and categories still don't...

please help :)

EXIF might not show up because it is an optional module that has to be installed manually by your webspace provider. Please contact them for this issue.

Please describe in which way the categories dont work.

By the way, has anybody an idea where we can host for free a new and comprehensive forum for problems and issues about folderblog? 'This discussion board' is absolutely inefficient!

Thanks. I contacted my provider for the EXIF data...

Well... I created folders in my "photos" folder and I put the photo in there.

The category, praha, shows up in there but it doesn't display on the photo page... when you click on the 'comments and info' link.

Thanks...

oh, I put CHMOD 777 to the entire photo blog directory (I don't know if that's okay :-)) and I also did what Mark says here: http://folderblog.org/discussion/765/ in the second message.

still have a problem with the categories and I'm starting to think it's an Almanac template problem rather than folderblog...

Alex, could you then try another template for a moment, like Relaxation? If the problems still occur, tell me/us.

the problem is I don't like the relaxation template and don't have the patience to install....

I think the Almanac template is not designed to provide catagories and that's why they're not showing up.

Looks like Alex switched to Pixelpost.

BTW John, the thumbnails on your archive page are misaligned. I just thought I'd let you know if you didn't know already (I feel like I just told a guy his fly is down).

Hey Jason, thanks for the heads-up!! I work on a Mac and since everything looked good on my 3 Mac browsers assumed (wrongly) all would be well on the PC front. I have done a quick fix but I don't know enough (actually I really don't know anything about this stuff at all) to get IE to centre my archive thumbs, like PC Firefox and my mac browswers do. Any help would be appreciated.

I would like to help, but I dont see a concrete misalignment. ;)
