Domain Names and Pointers and FB3.0(back to index)
I added another domain name to my acct at netfirms. I want to point www.blankmindfotos to my folderblog directory. When I do index.php stops working. The links to next and previous show up as:
http://folderblog///index.php?p=image/Wax_begonia/ or whatever for the images, instead of www.blankmindfotos.com/index.php?p=image/Wax_begonia/. The css stops working. I am using the almanac template.

Is this folderblog not knowing where it it or my host not working with folderblog?

thanks

probably yes, both ;)
how is that domain-forwarding done? have you tried pointing to your folderblog-directory via .htaccess?

btw: that file doesn't exist, so why pointing there? guess you kinda mixed the domains a bit? when the fb-installation is at frhendrix.com/folderblog/index.php, then let blankmindfotos.com point there... ;)

erik,

Thanks for the response. Try www.blankmindfotos.com/index.php again. I am moving things around. If you try it you will see what it looks like.

With domain pointers I can point www.blankmindfotos.com to a directory on my acct and it will load as if it was it's own server. You have to own the domain name in order to do this.

This acct does not allow full use of .htaccess so this is not possible.

thanks

what does the index.php on blankmindfotos look like? is this the folderblog-file itself? maybe you can use php on that domain so you can try a header refresh instead. maybe including or require does the same job for you... sorry not that php-skilled :-|

erik,

Yes the index was the renamed fb.php file. I have the pointers pointed corrrectly now. If you access www.blankmindfotos.com it works now. Only expection is the address bar shows the real location (website) of blankmindfotos.

I think I had this problem once before and donald had me change a line in fb to hard code the path the where fb really is located.

Thanks for looking at this. I think I'll go with this for now.
