Almanac Update(back to index)
After a long time of doing nothing, I'm currently working on an update of my Almanac-Template. Looks okay, I've removed some bugs, like this comment thing, cleaned up some things and it should now be compatible with FB3 Beta 16.

I also added the captcha-function to it. And thats the point: In my older beta-version of FB this one is working:

but in the updated template comments aren't working with #fbcaptcha#. If I set fbcaptcha = 0, all works fine. I've checked the usual things chmod->777, replaced the whole comment-code with the original template... No luck.

Here is the new version with this problem:

If anyone has the time... could you please have a look at it and maybe ideas why the comments arent't working?

Thanks,
John

Interesting, I've got a similar problem with relaxation template and rss feed. If in fb-setting rss is enabled the validation icons weren't shown and I also wasn't notified of an available rss feed. If I disable rss in fb-settings I got the icons and got a notification of rss feed available. Strange! Could it be a server side problem?

I think my comment problem has something to do with the captcha-function and/or with the single-page design (comments on the main page), since when i'm switching to the default template, the comments work.

But I can't find the error I've made...

Here is a test-installition of the newest almanac-version:

Jowra,
I have been using this template for about 2 weeks. Comments appear to work for me. I will move this test site over to this site http://www.frhendrix.com/blog/folderblog.php after I finish working on some addl pages. You are welcome to try to add comments and make sure they are working.
thanks richard

Jowra,

I do have a question about the font name you used to create the .gif files in the /css folder? I would like to create a few customized gifs for my test site before moving it.

thanks richard

Hi Richard, I'm just back from a short holiday...

Thanks for the link, I'll have a look at it tomorrow and hoefully I can find the problem with my comments...

The Font used for the 'information' an 'comments' header is

Arial Black, Regular, 30px at 96 dpi

done in photoshop.

Regards,

John
